When should the Blackstone griddle be cleaned?

A new Blackstone griddle should be cleaned and seasoned before first use. This initial cleaning helps remove residue from the manufacturing process and dust accumulating during transportation. Fill the bucket with warm water, splash with liquid dish soap, and stir. Soak a microfiber cloth in soapy water. Squeeze until damp, but not drip. Wipe the grill stove with a wet cloth to remove dust and dirt. Rinse twice with the cleaning solution while wiping the whole cloth. Empty the soapy water and refresh the bucket with clean, warm water. Next, soak a cloth in clean water, wash it out, and wipe the stovetop to rinse the soap. Dry the cooking surface with a paper towel. Let it air dry for a few minutes before adding seasoning.

Then increase the temperature of the Blackstone Griddle

Wait 10-15 minutes before the stove is dimmed. Place 2-3 tablespoons of linseed oil on the cooking surface. You can use your favorite cooking oil. Make sure the surface of the Grill is dry to prevent rust.

How to clean the Blackstone griddle after use

Let the flat grill cool after cooking, but keep it warm. Use the Metal Scraper to scrape any juice or food residue off your grill stove. Scrub toward the drip tray and wipe off any remaining grease with a paper towel.

If the food is sticky, spray the affected area with hot water. The hot water helps create steam that loosens the leftovers. Gently scrub the surface with a Blackstone polishing pad or non-metallic scrubber. Do not use soap or wire brushes. Rinse off dirt and residual water with a paper towel or microfiber cloth. Apply a little oil to the grill plate using a lint-free cloth or paper towel. Make sure the coating is thin and even.
